Nicolas Cage Bought a Mansion of Horrors
While giving an interview with People magazine, actor Nicolas Cage shared his own horror story: He explained that instead of having a traditional beachfront property, his place was “ghost front” property. Known as the LaLaurie Mansion, which is said to be among the most haunted of all houses in New Orleans, Nicolas had some crazy experiences. The previous owner, the twisted Madam Delphine LaLaurie, was a horrifying slave owner.
According to historians, Madame LaLaurie mercilessly tortured her slaves inside her mansion of horrors. Her sick actions were so horrific that her story became part of the plot for the “American Horror Story: Coven.” Although Nicolas purchased the mansion with its incredible location and magnificent view, he sold it in 2009. As he explained, its history and atmosphere were so disturbing that he never spent a single night at home. Sounds like the place should be demolished!
