9. Fight Club (1999 – David Fincher)
Fight Club is unequivocally a fan favorite among all of David Fincher’s works. Playing with the then-innovative themes of schizophrenia, mass rebellion, and the thrill of violence, this movie has an amazing screenplay and film-making execution. Brad Pitt, Edward Norton, and Helena Bonham Carter brought their cynical characters to life. The tormented main character delivers surprisingly effective narration, filled with cynicism and vulgar humor, that has been emulated in countless new movies and TV series including a successful version in Mr. Robot.
